THE SPRING MEETING OF THE NEW ORLEANS ASSOCIATION WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2009 AT LITTLE FARMS CHURCH, 135 SAUVE RD., RIVER RIDGE, LOUISIANA, REV. DR. JAMES HIGHTOWER, PASTOR. GATHERING AND CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST AT 9AM. BUSINESS MEETING BEGINS AT 9:30AM.THERE WILL BE WORSHIP AND A MEAL FOLLOWING THE PROGRAM.
THEME OF THE MEETING: “GOD’S CALLING YOU AND ME! CAN I GET A WITNESS?”A SPECIAL PROGRAM WILL BE PRESENTED BY THE CHURCH AND MINISTRY COMMITTEE.
PURSUANT TO THE BYLAWS, ARTICLE VII, SECTION 3 “EACH MEMBER CONGREGATION SHALL BE ENTITLED TO NO LESS THAN FOUR (4) LAY DELEGATES PLUS ONE (1) ADDITIONAL LAY DELEGATE FOR EVERY FIFTY PERSONS ABOVE ONE HUNDRED (100) WITHIN THE MEMBERSHIP AS LISTED IN THE ANNUAL YEARBOOK.”

The churches of the United Church of Christ and the Christian Church Disciples of Christ will worship together on Ash Wednesday February 25 at 7:00 PM at First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, 8121 Airline Drive in Metairie. The service will include a joint choir and imposition of ashes. Rev. Frank Sherard, Sr. MInister, St. Charles Ave. Christian Church will preach. All are invited.

The Beecher Memorial United Church of Christ Quilt Group invites you to the 2009 Martin Luther King Jr. Quilt Workshop, to be held on Saturday January 17, 2009 - 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Gallery 1225 N. Rampart Street, New Orleans.
Bring your sewing machine if you have one. Fabric and materials will be furnished.
Lunch will be provided!
